Ask23SimpleTags

Plugin for Wordpress 2.5+ by Pablo Zimdahl, based on the ask23 subject catalogue. This is an extended version of Simple Tags

The plugin uses two datasources provided by ask23:

The ask23 simple swk API for the seealso function ("suggestion of tags"), see Ask23SimpleTags/SeeAlso
a static json-file keywords.js for the autocompleter function

Description

This is Simple Tags ask23, a plugin for Wordpress 2.5. It provides autocompletion and suggestion of tags based on the ask23 Schlagwortkatalog (subject catalogue), and other features of Simple Tags (on which this plugin is based).

Simple Tags ask23 uses quite much Javascript and thus is not very accessible. That's due to the need to focus on functionality first. Improving patches are highly welcome!

Installation

As SimpleTagsAsk23 extends SimpleTags?, both plugins conflict. Don't use both at the same time!

Move this directory to $wordpressdir/wp-content/plugins/
Log in to the Wordpress admin web-interface and activate the plugin

Changes

Version 1.0:

ask23 Schlagwortkatalog as source for suggestion and autocompletion/lookup of tags
configuration options, e.g. to re-enable previous tag-sources
use semicolon as seperator between tags instead of comma to avoid conflicts with tags containing commas
some web-interface tweaks
